The Vision: Seamless in Seattle
SynSisal is well known for the residential feel that it brings to commercial spaces for hospitality, retail sales floors, etc. But how does it perform in actual real people's homes?
Turns out: it works the other way too. For home owners it brings polished professional performance together with a flooring finish that is soft, familiar, and fits in with family life.
Ask Brian Paquette, a social media star with 100k Instagram followers and a flourishing interior design business based out of Seattle. As part of a reno project for his modern tri-level urban spread, Brian was working with a set of two narrow hardwood-finished staircases, one of which features a sharp 90 degree turn at the bottom landing.
Here's Brian in his own words explaining how the project went and how it turned out.

Curran: So initial impressions of the finished installation...
Brian: Oh. 100x better than I ever could have dreamed. I was worried with a synthetic product that it might look fake. I'm originally from the northeast so I'm used to being surrounded by authentic natural fibers.
Curran: The photos definitely turned out great.
Brian: And the dogs love it too. Before we decided to do this reno rather than move, we just had bare wood floor for the staircases. The dogs would be running down and we'd hear these thuds from them slipping and bottoming out. Now: no more thuds!
Curran: So would you recommend SynSisal to family, friends, clients (your 100k Instagram followers)?
Brian: Absolutely! As a designer, published author, and taste-maker I run across so many products. But if I'm going to recommend a product I need to personally vet it, and in the case of SynSisal, I now consider it to be part of my official "toolbelt" 🛠️.
