Polypropylene Care Guide

Polypropylene will resist signs of wear, with its unique long-lasting fibers. It does not absorb moisture, making spills and stains easily removable with normal cleaning agents. Plus, it is permanently anti-static, free of toxins and does not support the growth of mites or bacteria.

Notes About Unbacked Polypropylene

  • Stair Runners: Unbacked polypropylene carpet is not recommended for use as stair treads or stair runners. Twisted yarns are susceptible to snagging and sprouting over time.

  • Seams: Unbacked polypropylene carpet is complex and seaming should only be considered when working with specialized installers. Due to the absence of backing, the integrity of the weave can become compromised if careful attention is not given during cutting and seaming.

Area Rugs: 2-3 weeks, plus transit (for Hand Serged rugs, lead time is 4-6 weeks)

METHOD

Standard/ Curbside Delivery: Standard curbside delivery means your rug will be delivered by one driver to the curb or to your driveway. The driver is not responsible for carrying your rug into your home or office, unpacking the rug, unrolling it or clearing away packaging. Curbside delivery on all orders is FREE. If you need additional services, consider Enhanced Delivery.

Oversized Rugs: For oversized items, we recommend enhanced delivery service, by appointment. 

Enhanced Delivery: This service offers various levels of inside delivery options which may include the following: 

  • over the threshold delivery

  • placement in the room of the customer’s choice (including up or down one flight of stairs)

  • unpacking

  • removal of packaging

  • assembly and placement of the items

We are happy to provide a quote upon request, taking into account the delivery address and service level preferred. Please state the best delivery contact name and phone number when checking out as the delivery company will need a valid contact number to reach you. Someone must be present at the time of delivery.

Any additional services? Please make a note during checkout of any needs that are above and beyond the enhanced delivery description, and we will gladly give you a quote. Examples include:

  • carry up (no elevator)

  • narrow staircase

  • many stairs

  • long haul

  • shifting and moving of any personal furniture
