This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog or website?

How do we protect your information?

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. We use regular Malware Scanning. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Do we use 'cookies'?

We do use our own and third-party cookies for various purposes, including secure the functionality of our site, to improve the performance of the site and also to assist our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Third-party disclosure

The PII that we collect from you is stored in one or more databases hosted by third parties located in the United States. Provided that they keep the PII confidential, we also may disclose PII to our partners and service providers to execute a contract (ex. Shipping companies, payment processors, etc.), perform and enhance our marketing activities (incl. our website) as well as conduct and improve our business operations. 

We do not sell, trade, or share PII with third-parties for their independent use unless (1) you request or authorize it, (2) the information is provided to comply with the law, enforce an agreement we have with you, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or the rights property or safety of our employees or others; (3) to address emergencies or acts of God; (4) or address disputes, claims, or to persons demonstrating legal authority to act on your behalf. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Google

We have not enabled Google AdSense on our site, but we may do so in the future.

reCAPTCHA

We use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google to protect your submissions via internet submission forms on this site. This plugin checks if you are a person in order to prevent certain website functions from being (ab)used by spam bots. This plugin query includes the sending of the IP address and possibly other data required by Google for the Google reCAPTCHA service. For this purpose, your input will be communicated to and used by Google. However, in some cases, your IP address is previously truncated by Google and is, as such, anonymized. Only in exceptional cases is a full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of Curran, the operator of this site, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address provided by reCAPTCHA from your browser shall not be merged with any other data from Google.

California Online Privacy Protection Act

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.

CAN SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.
